The 12-week timeline
Everything above runs in parallel with your fit-out if you start it early enough. Here is the sequence that avoids both the legal panic and the empty-appointment-book panic:
10 to 12 weeks out
- Fix the premises and start the Clinical Establishments application and trade licence.
- Sort your Kerala Dental Council registration or transfer.
- Decide the clinic name, and before you print anything, search it on Google Maps. If three clinics nearby share the name, you will spend years fighting for your own patients in search results.
- Book the domain for your clinic name, in your own name. It costs a few hundred rupees now and prevents an expensive problem later.
6 to 8 weeks out
- Start IMAGE affiliation and KSPCB registration.
