What a Dental Clinic Website Actually Costs in Kerala (2026)

We checked live pricing pages from freelancers, agencies and website companies across Kerala in July 2026. Here are the real numbers, and the costs nobody puts on the quote.

In short

  • A budget freelancer in Kerala charges ₹5,000 to ₹12,000 for a clinic website. Local agencies charge ₹15,000 to ₹35,000.
  • Kerala runs on a one-time build plus yearly renewal model (typically ₹2,500 to ₹6,000 per year), not the monthly retainers you see quoted abroad.
  • Almost every cheap quote excludes something you will need later: domain renewal, hosting, content writing, or the ability to make changes yourself.
  • Whatever you pay, demand three things before signing: you own the domain, you can see proof the site is fast, and you know exactly what an edit costs after launch.

If you ask three people in Kochi what a clinic website costs, you will get three answers that differ by a factor of ten. All three can be technically true. The price depends on what is quietly left out of the quote, and that is where most clinic owners get burned.

So instead of giving you a vague range, we checked the live, published pricing of freelancers, website companies and agencies serving Kerala in July 2026. This is what the market actually looks like.

The real price ranges in Kerala (2026)

Option Upfront Ongoing What to watch
DIY builder (Wix, GoDaddy etc.) ₹0 Plan fees every year, forever Free tiers put ads and the builder's branding on your clinic. Your evenings are the real cost.
Budget freelancer ₹5,000 to ₹12,000 ₹2,500 to ₹6,000/yr renewal Quality varies wildly. Edits after launch depend on one person answering the phone.
Low-cost website companies ₹4,999 to ₹6,999 From ₹499/yr Genuine prices we found published (The Presence Lab at ₹4,999 one-time, Snapweb at ₹6,999 plus ₹499/yr). Usually a fixed template, content is yours to write.
Local agency ₹15,000 to ₹35,000 ₹3,000 to ₹6,000/yr typical Better process, slower delivery. Ask what a single text change costs after handover.
ClinicPage (all-inclusive) ₹19,999, currently offered at ₹14,999 Small yearly renewal from year 2 Free preview before you pay, live in 48 hours, you edit anything yourself. Domain, hosting, content and Google Business setup included.

Two things stand out in that table. First, Kerala does not really do monthly retainers: the standard model here is a one-time build plus a yearly renewal, and you should be suspicious of anyone charging month after month for a site that is not changing. Second, the upfront number is the least interesting column. The "what to watch" column is where the real price lives.

Why the cheap quote never stays cheap

A ₹5,000 website is real. We found published prices even lower. But here is what that number usually does not include:

  • The domain. Your clinic's .com or .in address renews every year. If it is not in the quote, it is your problem later, and if the freelancer registered it under their own name, it is a much bigger problem (more on that below).
  • Hosting. The site has to live somewhere. Cheap quotes often park it on shared hosting that gets slow exactly when you start getting visitors.
  • Content. "Send me your text and photos" is the sentence that delays most clinic websites by three months. If writing the services, doctor profiles and about section is on you, budget your own time for it.
  • Changes. This is the big one. A new doctor joins, your timings change for Onam, you add a price. Every one of those is a phone call, a wait, and often a per-edit fee. ₹300 to ₹500 per change adds up fast on a "cheap" site.

There is a saying in this market that we have found to be reliably true: cheap quotes stay cheap because domain, hosting and content are left out. The quote is not dishonest. It is just not the whole bill.

The one question that filters most bad vendors: "When I want to change one price on the site next month, what exactly do I do, and what does it cost?" If the answer involves calling someone and waiting, you now know the real ongoing cost of that quote.

The hidden cost nobody quotes: the vanishing developer

Ask around in any dental WhatsApp group in Kerala and you will hear the same story. The clinic paid for a website two or three years ago. It exists. But the person who built it has switched jobs, moved to the Gulf, or simply stopped replying. The site still shows a doctor who left in 2024, and nobody has the login.

This is the most expensive outcome in the whole table above, because the clinic paid real money and ended up with a site that actively spreads wrong information about them. When you evaluate any offer, the question is not just "what does it cost to build" but "what happens to this site if this person disappears". Good answers include: you hold the domain in your own name, you have admin access to everything, and you can edit content without the builder's involvement.

Opening a new clinic? Your website timeline matters more than the price

If your clinic has not opened yet, you have one advantage established clinics do not: you can get the order of operations right from day one. (The website is only one item on that list; we put the full sequence, licences included, in the new dental clinic checklist for Kerala.)

  1. 6 to 8 weeks before opening: decide your clinic name, book the domain (in your name), and get your Google Business Profile created. Google's verification can involve a postcard or a video and takes time you do not want to spend during opening week.
  2. 3 to 4 weeks before opening: get the website live with your services, doctor profiles and a WhatsApp button. Search engines take a few weeks to start showing a new site properly, so "we will do the website after opening" means being invisible during exactly the weeks everyone in the neighbourhood is curious about you.
  3. Opening week: your only website job should be replying to the enquiries.

The pattern we see repeatedly: the clinics that treat the website as part of the clinic setup (like the chair or the X-ray license) get found on Google from week one. The ones that treat it as a someday-project open to an empty appointment book and then panic-buy ads.

What to demand at any price point

Whether you spend ₹5,000 or ₹35,000, put these five items in writing before paying anyone (including us):

  • Domain ownership: the domain is registered in your name or transferred to you. Non-negotiable.
  • Proof of speed: ask for the Google PageSpeed score of a site they have already built, checked live in front of you. Slow sites lose patients on mobile, which is where nearly all your visitors are.
  • Edit rights: a clear answer on how you change text, prices, photos and doctors after launch, and what it costs.
  • WhatsApp and calls, one tap: patients in Kerala do not fill contact forms. If the site does not open WhatsApp in one tap, it is decoration.
  • Google Business Profile: the website and your Google Maps listing feed each other. If the quote ignores GBP entirely, the person is selling you a brochure, not patients.

Where ClinicPage sits, honestly

We are not the cheapest row in that table, so it is fair to explain what the difference buys. ClinicPage is ₹19,999 (currently offered at ₹14,999, one-time) and the price includes the things the cheap quotes leave out: your domain and hosting for the first year, the content written for you, Google Business Profile setup, and a page built to load fast (our own site scores 98 on mobile and 99 on desktop in Google's PageSpeed test, and you can check that claim live).

Two things are genuinely different from everything else we have seen in this market. First, you see your finished page before paying anything: we build a free preview, send it on WhatsApp, and you pay only if you approve it. Second, you edit the site yourself: text, prices, photos, doctors, even adding a new language, without calling anyone. There are screen recordings of exactly how that works on our homepage, because this is the claim clinic owners rightly do not believe until they see it.

And to be honest in the other direction: if you just want your clinic name and phone number to exist on the internet, and your nephew can handle a builder template, a ₹4,999 site is genuinely fine. This comparison matters when the website is supposed to bring you patients, not just exist.

Common questions

How much does a dental clinic website cost in Kerala?

As of 2026: ₹5,000 to ₹12,000 from a budget freelancer, ₹4,999 to ₹6,999 from low-cost website companies, ₹15,000 to ₹35,000 from a local agency, and around ₹15,000 to ₹20,000 for all-inclusive services that cover domain, hosting, content and Google Business setup. Expect a yearly renewal of roughly ₹2,500 to ₹6,000 on top of most quotes.

Do clinics in Kerala pay monthly fees for websites?

Usually not. The standard Kerala model is a one-time build cost plus a small yearly renewal for domain and hosting. Monthly retainers are common in the US and UK but rare here, and for a site that is not changing weekly, a monthly fee is hard to justify.

Is a free website builder good enough for a clinic?

It exists, but it works against you: free tiers show the builder's ads and branding, give you an address like yourclinic.wixsite.com instead of your own domain, and tend to load slowly on mobile. For a business where trust is the product, most clinics outgrow a free site within months.

How long does it take to get a clinic website live?

Freelancers and agencies in Kerala typically quote 2 to 6 weeks, and delays usually come from content going back and forth. ClinicPage delivers in 48 hours after you approve the free preview, because the content is prepared before you pay.

I am still setting up my clinic. When should I start the website?

Six to eight weeks before opening day. Google Business Profile verification and search indexing both take weeks, so a site that goes live with your clinic (rather than after it) is what makes you findable during your critical first month.
